Cookie policy

Last updated: 07.10.2026. We explain what a cookie is, what cookies we use on zitronia.ro and how you can manage them.

1. What is a cookie

A cookie is a small text file saved by your browser when you visit a site. Cookies allow the site to "remember" actions or preferences (e.g. products in the cart) for a period of time, so you don't need to re-enter them every time.

2. Categories of cookies we use

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the site to function — for example, to remember your shopping cart contents during the session or to maintain a logged-in account session. Without them, basic site functions (cart, checkout) would not work. They do not require your consent, under applicable legislation.

NamePurposeDuration
PHPSESSIDMaintains the session and shopping cart contentsSession (deleted when the browser is closed)

2.2 Functional cookies

They remember preferences that improve your experience on the site, without being strictly indispensable — for example, your visual theme preference (light/dark), if applicable. They may require your consent depending on their exact nature.

2.3 Analytics cookies

At the time this document was drafted, zitronia.ro does not use traffic analytics tools based on third-party cookies. If we introduce such a tool in the future, this section will be updated before activation, and your consent will be explicitly requested through the cookie banner.

2.4 Marketing cookies

At the time this document was drafted, zitronia.ro does not use marketing or retargeting cookies. Any later introduction of such cookies will require your explicit consent and will be reflected here.

3. Third-party services that may set similar requirements to cookies

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts for correct typography display. This service involves a request to Google's servers, which may involve processing of your IP address by Google, under that provider's own policy.

4. How you can manage or disable cookies

You can control and delete cookies from your browser settings. Most browsers allow blocking all cookies, blocking only third-party cookies, or deleting existing cookies. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may make it impossible to use the shopping cart and complete an order.

Instructions for the most common browsers: look in the browser settings for the "Privacy" or "Cookies" section (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari offer granular control for each visited site).

5. Your consent

For cookie categories that require consent, it is requested through a banner shown on your first visit. You can withdraw your consent at any time by revisiting the cookie settings or by deleting cookies from your browser.

6. Legal basis

This policy complies with the provisions of Law No. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and privacy protection in the electronic communications sector and with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), where cookies involve personal data.

7. Updates

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
